I ‘ve given this talk a couple of times now, but I’ve finally got some great video footage to go with it from my recent session at Heart&Sole in Portsmouth, so I thought I’d put it up here. This is the same talk that I gave at WordCampNL at the end of last year, as well as at a number of smaller engagements.

The Talk

As you might know, I work as a member of the Core WordPress UI Team – but what exactly does that mean? I for one, had no idea what I was letting myself in for and my mind was completely blown by all the intricacies involved. I put together this talk to try to explain some of those intricacies and show just what goes on behind the scenes of the world’s favourite Open Source content management system.

Good presentation John, where did you hold this? Wouldn’t mind attending future events :)

Hey Ian, the conference was held in the Portsmouth Spinnaker tower – it was quite a venue! :)

Awesome. Thanks John. Really nice talk. Really made me smile seeing the older versions of WP.
